An exciting opportunity has become available with our prestigious client who is a prominent government department. The client is seeking an experienced hands on Senior Estimator to join their welcoming team.
The Senior Estimator Role:
- Implement best practice estimating policy, processes and procedures on projects
- Providing cost estimates and cost plans within levels of certainty, provisioning effective monitoring, forecasting and control of financial limits
- Assist value engineering assessments and evaluation as part of the project process.
Providing estimating input to performance reporting, risk and change assessments
- Produce estimating deliverables in accordance with the appropriate procedures and guidelines
- Estimating SME
- Able to lead the development of cost estimate(s) set by the PM, PCM or task manager
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
- Able to review estimate bases including the supporting project controls, supply chain and technical artefacts
- Providing robust cost advice and analysis to support key business decision making and reviews
- Develop and maintain clear and auditable basis of estimate documentation
- Review, assuring quality of cost estimating artefacts
- Providing estimating support to risk assessments and mitigation actions
What the Senior Estimator Will Need:
- Strong extensive background as an Estimator
- Background in defence
- Strong cost planning experience
- Cross sector experience
