Senior Data Modeller – AI, Kimbal, Data Warehouse, SQL, star schema, Hybrid

Our client within the Public Sector is seeking an experienced Senior Data Modeller to enhance, expand and improve its enterprise data warehouse. This role will help deliver their strategic objective of “Data for All”, enabling trusted, governed and scalable analytics across the organisation.

You’ll design and implement analytical data models that turn complex business processes into clear, reliable structures for enterprise reporting, self-service analytics, AI, automation and strategic decision-making. You’ll work with teams and stakeholders across the organisation

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale dimensional data models using the Kimball methodology.

Create and maintain fact tables, conformed dimensions, hierarchies, bus matrices, star schemas and aggregate structures.

Integrate source data into the existing warehouse model.

Produce conceptual, logical and physical data models.

Define and promote standards for analytical data modelling.

Support analytics across grants and funding, finance, organisations and people, studentships, and research outcomes and impact.

Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Engineers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Data Governance specialists and business stakeholders.

Strong hands-on experience designing and implementing Kimball dimensional data warehouse solutions.

A sound understanding of star schema modelling and enterprise data warehouses.

Experience integrating source data with existing warehouse models.

Strong SQL and data skills.

The ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable analytical models.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills.
