Delivery Manager
Location: Remote, West Sussex
Contract: 6 months initially
Security: SC clearance
The Role
Our prestigious client is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to support its Technology Services team in delivering improvements to an established operational technology service.
You will coordinate the internal team, third-party developer and wider stakeholders to ensure improvements are delivered on time, within budget and aligned with strategic priorities, while maintaining the organisation's day-to-day services.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and manage service improvement projects
- Coordinate internal teams, users, stakeholders and external suppliers
- Manage delivery timelines, dependencies, risks and priorities
- Lead and support project meetings and supplier discussions
- Ensure users and stakeholders provide timely feedback
- Coordinate activities across discovery, development and go-live
- Ensure new services are introduced without disrupting business operations
- Work effectively within a small team where individuals have multiple responsibilities
- Adapt delivery approaches to suit the organisation and project environment
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven Delivery Management / Project Management experience
- SC clearance
- Experience delivering technology or service improvement projects
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills
- Experience working with small project teams and limited internal resources
- The ability to manage competing priorities, risks, dependencies and deadlines
- Strong communication, organisation and coordination skills
- Experience working with agile development teams and/or adapting delivery methods where formal agile practices are not fully established
- A collaborative, practical and solutions-focused approach
