An exciting opportunity has become available with our prestigious client who is a prominent government department. The client is seeking an experienced DDAT-SEO-Developer to join their welcoming team.

 

The DDAT-SEO-Developer Role:

This role is within the Transport Tribe who are responsible for building, maintaining and supporting systems that provide weather data services for the transport industry.

 

As a Software Developer you will work as part of an Agile Development team to:

- Develop software to meet user needs

- Follow tribe best practice and work to improve working practices in the tribe

- Write clean, secure and well-tested code

- Coach and mentor more junior colleagues

- Operate the services you build and identify issues in production

 

The successful candidate will work on the next generation of Aviation Visualisation Services. These services will replace an ageing legacy estate with cloud-hosted web services.

 

Our technology choices include:

- AWS managed services

- HTMX

- TypeScript

 

An understanding of web technologies is expected in this role including, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and web components. HTMX is a minimal JavaScript library that enables responsive and reactive web development

 

What the DDAT-SEO-Developer Will Need:

  • Experience developing and testing software using Python with industry standard patterns
  • Good knowledge and experience of using AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, StepFunctions, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, APIGateway, RDS, CloudWatch) within production level IT Systems
  • Knowledge and experience of building and deploying software into an AWS environment using CDK, codeBuild, codePipeline, Terraform
  • Experience of using GitHub workflows
  • Experience of working in an Agile, cross functional customer-centric working environment
  • Proven ability to support, mentor and train junior developers
  • Experience and understanding of Aviation based weather data and products
  • Previous experience of building HTMX applications
